Job Description

Electronic Technician Needed!

Contract to Hire- Start ASAP

Pay up to $22 Hourly DOE

The Electronic Technician is responsible for testing systems, performing test failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework and repair on multiple technologies utilizing a variety of tools and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test digital and/or analog systems utilizing a variety of tools and test equipment
  • Perform test failure analysis, rework, and repair on display technology products as needed
  • Troubleshoot problems down to the component level and provide timely solutions to maintain the continuity of product flow
  • Support improvement of display yields and reduction of scrap by participating on improvement teams.
  • Provide feedback to engineering regarding repair and troubleshooting of new designs and specifications
  • Provide feedback in the NPI phase in regards to service and repair depot needs
  • Support external repair or assembly houses as needed
  • Collect other pertinent quality data as necessary
  • Interface with peers, vendors, and other departments to resolve technical issues
  • Perform other technician duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience using soldering tools and techniques; solder certification a plus
  • Demonstrated oscilloscope, troubleshooting and rework skills
  • Ability to work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, schematics, written and verbal instructions
  • Strong understanding of display technology and diagnostic ability
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills beyond the component level
  • Demonstrated ability to work well individually and as a member of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to shift priorities as needed
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to safely lift display panels, computer and production equipment, up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate material handling devices such as pallet jacks and hand trucks

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology¬†or equivalent desired
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting PCBs to the component level
  • Minimum one year working in a PC test environment with displays or equivalent
