Job Description

Volt is seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to work on various types of electronic equipment and related devices by performing one or a combination of the following: installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing
Work closely with telemetry engineers building up airborne telemetry system, including payload construction, wire harnesses, test cables for component, circuit card assembly, and deck testing

Able to work extended hours and weekends
Knowledge of ESD and FOD Control
Provides and implements technical solutions to routine and or semi-complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation
Work is performed under general oversight. Plans, prioritizes, schedules, coordinates and arranges personal efforts to accomplish objectives
Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others as required

Top three skills:

Able to perform testing on Electronic hardware
Associate Degree in Electrical Technology, or equivalent military/trade school training and required experience
Able to perform mechanical assembly tasks

This position is for an Electronic Technician. Perform a variety of technical functions related to the support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype modes or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Diagnose and correct equipment and system malfunctions which fail to respond to standard corrective measures. Develop or evaluate test procedures, determine circuit requirements and develop diagnostics prototype modes. Generate rough sketches and engineering drawings and special techniques for control and implementation of research experiments.The technician may create rough sketches but does not need CAD software experience. Prepare reports, charts, and graphs for scientific and engineering personnel to use in making decision on design or experiment development. May provide work leadership for staff.

Aerospace experience in testing and installation of electronics a must.
Candidate should have experience with Aerospace launch vehicles. Aerospace experience would be nice but Air Force, Navy, Honeywell, Boeing, Lockheed, Aircraft other manufactures of Aircraft or Launch vehicle hardware
Solid rocket experience preferred.
Must be able to obtain DOD secret security clearance and be able to obtain a BATF permit for handling explosives.

Applicants selected must have ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
