Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for an Electronics Technician for one of clients in Chandler, AZ.

Shift: Would be on days the first several weeks while training, then on 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week

Primary Duties:

  • Perform moderately complex technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, proto-type models or specialized test equipment.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
  • Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level.
  • Utilizes routine development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.
  • May require ability to operate Environmental Equipment such as TVAC Chamber and Vibe Test.
  • Operation of Production Tests for Flight Hardware is required, and related experience is desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Use of computer and monitor for long periods, and capability of using Microsoft Office Tools, statistical software, and other test software required to perform test validation on engineering and flight hardware.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., bend, stretch, push, reach, climb ladders, and/or standing/sitting for 2 hours at a time in a clean room environment.
  • Testing setup and teardown may require using tools, application of force for torque requirements and maneuvering under test benches and vehicles to electrically attach test cables.
  • Visual acuity is required to work with small electrical components and to inspect small multi-pin connectors prior to attachment to ensure quality and avoidance of damage to the devices.
  • Work in confined spaces for extended periods of time in a clean room environment.
  • Ability to wear clean room garments including full “bunny suit” garb for 10K level environments.

Experience and Training:

Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school plus 4 years of related exp.
