Embedded Software Engineer in Redmond, WA at Volt

Job Description

VOLT is seeking candidates for "Sr Embedded Software Engineer" role for our client on Seattle eastside. Candidate needs to reside in or be willing to relocate to the Greater Seattle area and work onsite from time to time in the client's lab.  This is a Contract to Hire role in which direct conversion is hoped for at the approximate six-month point.  Needs a candidate who is looking for long-term opportunities.

Required Skills:

1. Embedded C programming
2. Hardware:  (power system distribution and conversion would be good, though not required)
3. Embedded LINUX
4. Excellent multi-threading skills

Needs an embedded software developer who is comfortable with hardware.  Programs in devices that perform tasks.  Takes specs from HW and codes device to perform to spec.   Needs strong understanding of multi-threading and Scheduler in Linux as well as good TCP or Protocol Stacks.  Open to working on legacy systems.  Needs engineers who are good at solving problems and can write optimized code quickly.
