Embedded Software Engineer

SUMMARY:

We are the pioneering leader of telematics development and distribution in the Internet of Things marketplace. We are seeking an embedded software developer with 3 to 5 years of experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop firmware using C and C++ on RTOS for resource constrained/battery operated IoT devices and telematic gateways.

• Quickly translate requirements into working embedded software

• Design and develop RTOS drivers for environmental and other sensors and network interfaces

• Work in a fast-paced agile environment using tools such as JIRA and git.

• Quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in embedded software

• Interface with hardware design and write firmware accordingly.

• Use tools such as JTAG, oscilloscope and logic analyzers

Qualification and experience Must Haves:

• Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering. Masters is a plus

• Technical skills

• Minimum 3 years of embedded software industry experience. 5 years preferred.

• Expert level proficiency in C++ and C programming in resource constrained systems.

• Experience writing firmware integrating BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

• Experience working with an RTOS. ARM mbed OS highly preferred.

• Experience writing RTOS drivers for sensors such as pressure, temperature, accelerometer, light etc.

• Experience with communication interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI and USB.

• Experience with source control systems based on Git.

• Experience writing RTOS network interface drivers for Ethernet chipsets.

• Experience using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscope and logic analyzers.
