Job Description

Maintenance Electro-Mechanical

Shift: 1st- Mon thru Fri_8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Medical Surveillance: Respirator check

Testing : MSTB (testing requirement, conducted via 3M, prior to offer)

PPE: Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, respirator

Pay Rate: Pay may vary

Duration: 90 days, possible extension (no guarantee )

Position duties include:

Works with moderate work direction, and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving. Provides engineering support and services for manufacturing and leads small projects where applicable. Has general knowledge and understanding of engineering organization, knowledge control technologies and uses best practices, methods and concepts within assigned projects.


-Maintain and repairs electrical equipment and systems. Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. Perform a variety of maintenance and repair work on plant production equipment including overhauling, adjusting, modifying, timing, and aligning of mechanical devices.
-Diagnose, test, repair and make adjustments to AC and DC systems to include motors and drive systems.
-Diagnose, repair, and adjust pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems, including control loops and P.I.D. loops (4-20 milliamps).
-Use instruments to diagnose, repair, align, and adjust mechanical systems to include ball screws, drive systems, bearings,
-Diagnose, repair and make adjustments to industrial controllers, including analog and digital systems and programmable controllers.
-Read, understand and update AC and DC elementary drawings and wiring diagrams in accordance with established 3M practices.
-Safely operate shop equipment such as electric drills, pipe cutters, pipe benders, pipe threaders, electric hammers, conduit benders, power saws, drill presses, lathes and hand tools in support of repair work.
-Setup and safely operate test and measuring instruments, to include ammeters, V.O.M., gauges, recorders and other test equipment to aid in the diagnoses of complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
-Assure that all work performed is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
-Assure safekeeping and proper maintenance of assigned tools and equipment.
-Keep work area neat, safe and orderly by cleaning up at completion of each job.
-Maintain test instrumentation in safe and proper working order.
-Use safe working methods/procedures at all times to avoid personal injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property.
-Observe 3M safety rules, 3M Guide to Conduct and plant and departmental work rules.
-Report unsafe working conditions or equipment to supervisor immediately.
-Perform job requirements within specified or shortest time possible, at lowest cost and with minimum waste while maintaining appropriate quality of workmanship.
-Work with other employees in fully supportive partnering and team member relationship to contribute to overall goals of work unit, department, plant and company.


Completion of a 2-year technical degree, Skilled Craft Development Program, or equivalent training in related field required and minimum 2 years of applicable experience or total of 5 years applicable experience.
