Quality Engineer (12-month contract)
Maplewood, MN

The position of Quality Engineer located in Maplewood, MN will provide Quality leadership and support to high priority new product and continuous improvement programs in Industrial Separation and Purification Sciences Division (SPSD). This Division is an exciting growth business within SPSD portfolio and a market leader in many product categories.
The Quality Engineer will work and interact significantly with other cross functional team members (lab, plant manufacturing and plant quality, regulatory, and business unit). This position can provide a great opportunity to learn, grow, and develop as an employee.

Responsibilities:
• Team member representing quality and assuring quality on new product development (NPI) projects.
• Leader or team member of quality improvement projects to reduce costs and reduce customer complaints.
• QA support for assigned Industrial products, including filters, cartridges and capsules.
• Assessing and validating test methods and performing plant test cross-over studies.
• Assuring compliance to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and ISO requirements.
• Evaluating customer issues, samples and trends, and determining the necessary action plans
• Helping to drive and foster a quality environment and mindset throughout the business.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University.
• Experience working in a product/quality engineering function
 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong demonstrated leadership ability and the ability to lead teams, drive change, and get things done.
• Experience leading Quality Assurance efforts.
• Experience with new product introduction (NPI).
• Engineering degree (mechanical engineer, chemical, statistics, chemistry, etc.)
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Previous Manufacturing Plant Experience.
• Statistical knowledge and practice (Gage R&R Studies, SPC and Process Capability, Sampling Plans, Designed Experiments, ANOVA and Regression, Process and Product Understanding (PPU), and Lean Manufacturing).
• Test method development and validation experience.
• The ability to identify opportunities for improvement and lead change.
• Six Sigma methodology experience.
