Networking and FPGA IP Block Design Engineer
Hudson, MA

Job Description:

The candidate will be responsible for the development of exciting IPs for the FPGA in the areas of packet processing and networking protocol. The development is closely related to RDMA so hands-on experience the Linux OFED stack is expected. The development involves implementing highly re-usable/flexible IPs in Verilog and other languages and verifying IPs thoroughly in simulation, emulation/hardware. You will also be responsible for IP integration and implementation of verification infrastructure.

In the development cycle, you will implement IPs that accelerates communication across data center applications through highly efficient light weight transport layer protocols on the FPGAs. You will optimize the IPs for re-usability / flexibility /performance and power. In short, the ideal candidate has a networking background with experience in FPGA IP block design.

Required Skills:
• 5-7 years’ experience with FPGA design and development with preferably Altera tools
• Experience implementing network flows on FPGA (Packet processing and network protocol)
• Verilog coding and integration, test set up, bench creation and debug
• FPGA design tool flows, synthesis, timing analysis, partitioning, FPGA programming, bring up and testing
• Extensive past experience in FPGA IP integration and testing, board and system hardware bring
• Knowledge of networking protocols, interfaces and standards like PCIe Gen3/4, 10G Ethernet, RDMA
• Hands-on experience with linux OFED stack
• Knowledge of Operating Systems e.g. Linux in particular
• Knowledge of memory interfaces like DDR3, DDR4
• Team working skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum Education: Bachelor degree or higher in Computer/Electrical Engineering
