Job Description

Volt is now hiring an Engineering Technician to join our client’s talented team in Greensboro, NC.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic leader in the semiconductor industry.

The duration of the assignment is up to six months.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Willing to support occasional overtime as needed
  • Will assist with general Lab support to include soldering SMT parts down to 0402 size
  • Perform preventive maintenance, unplanned corrective maintenance and product changeovers on different families of Automated Test Stations
  • Responsible for set up, operation, debug, and problem resolution for all lab pick and place handler activities on Synax S-9 and Delta handlers
  • Station Setups/Calibrations (Loss Comps) and trouble shoot to determine root cause of failures
  • Create Recipes and Serialize Parts with Laser engraver. Troubleshoot to determine cause of any unsatisfactory markings
  • Hand clamp testing to support customer samples/control unit generation/correlations
  • Document handoffs of control units and production test fixtures to operations
  • Ability to analyze test data to determine root cause of set up/equipment problems
  • Strong Problem solving skills and ownership of assigned tasks is required
  • Will own the lab equipment calibration and inventory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in technical field or equivalent military training
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the electronics field
  • Self Starter
