If you are an Engineering Technician who is accustomed to supporting product development through developing test plans, fixtures, methods, protocols, and reports, then this is a great opportunity to join a leading medical device manufacturer. You will be assisting with prototype management, test method validation (TMV), test execution and management. This position would require interface with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and other cross functional groups as necessary.

Major, On-Going Responsibilities:

• Manage test equipment, system validation (IQ/OQ), calibration and PM infrastructure

• Create, manage, and execute test plans and test protocols for leads and accessories design verification and design validation

• Support R&D by designing/specifying test fixtures and identifying critical test parameters

• Support R&D in pre-design control prototype building and pre-design control proof of concept testing

• Support R&D by assisting in the purchasing of components and equipment for the lab

• Report test execution progress and issues to the engineering team, and manage to completion any issues that arise during testing

Experience & Training:

• Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an engineering technician or test engineer

• Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, frequency counters, and logic analyzers

• Ability to assemble/dissemble products

• Strong mechanical /machining skills a plus

• Experience with testing of mechanical and/or electrical systems

• Good manual dexterity; able to solder or probe delicate electronic circuits

• Experience in the medical industry regulation is preferred by not required
