Volt is currently seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer.  

Job Description:                       

Summary: Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Five to seven engineering experience required. Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.

Position's Contributions to Work Group:                 Group job is to bring in new line Yellow Mark. Working as a part of the engineering team that works with suppliers to evaluate technical drawings and set up technical references. Help ensure that parts added to program live up to brand expectations and the documents in place support the quality control processes.

Typical Day:                    Resource will be assigned part numbers to review and evaluate through collaboration with supplier engineering teams and peers and counterparts in the work group and Caterpillars original work group.

Education Requirement:                  Bachelors degree and or an associates degree in an engineering or technical degree with the 5- 7 years of experience

Critical Technical Skills:

                5-7 years of related engineering experience Familiar with reading and creating blue prints, technical drawing skills. DESIRED: worked at Cat previously and familiar with engineering data systems FMEA or failure analysis training Soft Skills Required:

                Ability to work in a team, good communication skills.
