Candidate Responsibilities

Summary: Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Two to four years engineering experience required. Skills and Competencies: Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. Team player and detail oriented. Displays attributes of a critical thinker and leverages innovative ideas. Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations. Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports. Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices. Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendation to maintenance crew. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications. Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Caterpillar experience would be beneficial for a candidate in this role. Cooling system experience is also a plus.

Assisting cooling system engineers in creating models, detailing prints, and releasing prints for cooling modals for 3400, C27/32, 3500, and C175 products.

Typical Day

M-F 8AM-5PM Additional hours may be needed for specific projects

Education Requirement

Mechanical Engineering or Technology Degree required.

Technical Skills

At least one year experience of Cat systems (Teamcenter, EDS, HVC, Cat drawing standard). Must have past design experience. Experience with Creo and Teamcenter is a plus.

Soft Skills

Ability to discuss detailed technical designs and analysis with engineering peers.
