Engineer II, Facilities

Regular Full-Time Professional Allen, TX, US

A global leader in high-tech manufacturing is seeking an Equipment Engineer / Facilities Engineer in Allen, TX. We are looking for individuals who have a strong background in manufacturing with a desire to work in a team environment that provides support and input from multiple perspectives that values safety above all else. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize, schedule and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Collaboration with the existing team to facilitate design, construction and maintenance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain and upgrade the various tools used in the Fab
• Track, record and communicate progress of maintenance work being performed on Fab
• Ensure reliable operation of systems to avoid manufacturing/facilities/operations impacts.
• Identify and implement opportunities to achieve lowest cost of ownership to key stakeholders while maintaining reliability.
• Support a fast-paced manufacturing facility by assisting maintenance and operations solve problems and manage projects.
• Manage and support small maintenance-related repair projects, major manufacturing installations and overhauls and periodic plant expansions.
• Develop proposals for new projects and estimate cost of work.
• Make technical decisions to meet project objectives and/or solve specific problems.
• Coordinate with contractors as well as on-site maintenance personnel to achieve successful completion of projects.
• Own safety within your area of influence
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or AA degree in electronics or similar technical field plus 5 years semiconductor manufacturing support experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Problem Solving: Able to troubleshoot to root cause and analyze collected data for continuous improvement.
• Organization: Able to balance planned and unplanned activities in a timely, professional manner.
• Experience with facility systems a plus
? - Facilities exhaust, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing.
? - Reviewing specifications and developing mechanical or electrical layouts.
? - Facility water systems
• Technical Skill Requirements: Vacuum Systems, Photo Resist, Coat & Develop, gas controls, mass flow controllers, valves, fittings, etc.
• Familiar with various wafer fab and back-end tools, such as, Plasma etchers, develop systems and inspection systems.
• Knowledge of laser installation and alignments. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude skills.
• Knowledge of how to read electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints.
• Individual must be self-motivated and be able to organize and manage his/her daily work with minimal direction.
• Individual must have strong interpersonal/teaming and verbal communications skills.
• Individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Project (or similar software).
• Problem Solving: Able to troubleshoot to root cause and analyze collected data for continuous improvement.
• Teamwork: Shares knowledge to achieve team goals.

Work Environment
• Work in a Class 10 clean room
• Wear full clean room attire
• Work with and/or around chemicals such as acids and solids
• Work with and/or around gases, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
• Lift 50 pounds or push/pull up to 150 pounds
