We are recruiting for a reputable company in the city of Westlake Village. Our client is seeking an Escrow Assistant to join their growing team.

The Escrow Assistant will provide administrative support to the Escrow Officer. This requires office administrative skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints. As an escrow assistant, you'll also need solid communication and customer service skills as you will be in many cases acting as a “go-between” the clients and the escrow officer. In addition, an escrow assistant needs a general understanding of escrow practices, mortgage lending, title insurance and real estate principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

Escrow Assistants perform a variety of general clerical tasks. Escrow Assistants must be able to multi-task, and they need to possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Some daily tasks that you could expect include gathering client and financial information, handling funds, data entry and responding to information requests. You may also prepare, assemble, and deliver escrow documents.

Because real estate transactions involve specific laws and regulations, escrow assistants must be familiar with these laws to interpret monetary agreements, order title reports, assist with closings and complete the handling of funds.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years Escrow Assistant experience

• Strong computer skills with an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

• Strong communication skills; in person, by telephone, and in writing

• Working knowledge of ResWare software preferred

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
