Job Description

Rosemount™ Measurement & Analytical, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking an Executive Assistant.

Temp - Hire (potential)

Rosemount™ is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.

Description: 

Performs full administrative duties in a responsible and confidential nature with special emphasis on relieving the Senior Executive of details. Reports and provides support to a Senior Executive reporting directly to the Business Unit
President.


Responsibilities
• 1. Handles projects of an administrative nature which require extensive confidentiality, discretion and independent judgment. Requires a high degree of accountability due to the extent of areas supported by the Senior Executive's position.
2. Drafts routine correspondence. Prepares reports requiring information from a variety of sources and where the format is usually not defined. Coordinates various special projects. Is responsible for the administration of routine reports and events.
3. Assures that correspondence properly represents company standard procedures through use of good English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and proofreading.
4. Daily contact with personnel from all levels of the organization and external to Rosemount in order to complete the assigned tasks.
5. Screens calls, letters and/or visitors. Answers routine questions, furnishes information, and directs inquires to the appropriate department. An in-depth knowledge of Rosemount business, policies, procedures, and personnel is involved. Acts as the first point of contact to outside inquires.
6. Utilizes automated office equipment and is required to be proficient in the use of one or more software packages including computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, web page content preparation, and/or scheduling.
7. Schedules appointments and coordinates arrangements for travel, meetings and conferences. Includes management of the Senior Executive's business schedule.
8. Organizes and expedites flow of paperwork through Senior Executive's office. Responds to correspondence and requests, outlining specifics of what needs to be completed and/or instituting follow-up action.
9. May provide work direction to other office employees in the work group.
10. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
 

 

Requirements
Education:
A) High school diploma or a general equivalency degree (GED).
B) 900 hours administrative assistant training.
Experience:
A) Five - Six years of broad administrative assistant experience.
