DTS has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an Experimental Parts Lab Test Coordinator to work onsite at our client’s facility in Milwaukee, WI.  This position is responsible for the day to day management of the work request process supporting the Experimental Machine Shop in the PDC.  The work environment is a two-shift operation and requires exceptional organizational skill and project planning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and accept work orders for quality and completeness per established Lab guidelines
  • Act as a main interface between customers, lab members, outside suppliers, and Developmental Purchasing
  • Track Status of work orders to ensure on-time delivery requirements are met
  • Order raw materials, perishable tooling, and supplies required for the processing of work orders
  • Communicate with external suppliers and internal resources on outsourcing activities
  • Support Continuous Improvement System efforts in the lab environment
  • Additional administrative duties as needed

Required Experience:

  • Working knowledge of machining, fabrication, and rapid prototype processes
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawing for the general review of completeness and clarity
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Machinist Fabricators, stakeholders, internal and external suppliers
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • Working knowledge of the CREO 3-D CAD system
  • Ability to locate files in the database and perform basic file manipulation
