MOVE FORWARD WITH VOLT
Volt is immediately hiring for a Fabrication Associate, in Albuquerque, NM.
As a Fabrication Associate, you will be:
- Responsible for moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
- Responsible for assembling pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintaining organized work supplies.
- Responsible for following safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
- Responsible for operating powered industrial equipment by OSHA guidelines and procedures.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining machines for pipe fabrication.
- Responsible for measuring, recording, and adding random pipe lengths accurately.
- Responsible for measuring and cutting pipe using band saws or torches.
- Responsible for threading and beveling pipes using Landis machines, inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment.
This is a full-time contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of mechanical and machinery such as pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, and pneumatic banders.
- Experience in using tape measures, and gauges for quality checks.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment
- Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.
