NOW HIRING!!!! VOLT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Grass Valley, Ca.

Responsible for production and facility equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, improvement programs and possess the ability to operate machines, hand-tools, and electronic testing equipment.  Position is also responsible for new equipment installation. This may involve modifying, rebuilding, or overhauling equipment to meet upgraded standards, and company needs.


  • Maintain equipment and facility logs and schedules
  • Monitor equipment daily performance and perform PM on equipment as needed
  • Support production line equipment as needed for repairs, maintenance, modifications
  • Respond promptly to service calls to troubleshoot equipment as required
  • Maintain necessary spare parts stock; coordinate ordering spare parts as required
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for equipment related activities (factory / vendor repair, calibration, facility contractors, etc.).
  • Participates as a facilities team member representing maintenance activities


  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience required in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Professional certifications are a plus

Skill Sets

  • Strong Electro-mechanical background, firm understanding of electronic principles, and a solid operating knowledge of computer systems and PC’s.
  • Ability to read/interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics/blueprints
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Codes, OSHA standards and machine shop techniques
  • Experience working with mechanical equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic valves, cylinders, pumps, motors, conveyor systems, motor controls, variable frequency drives, contractors, breakers and PLC controls
  • Ability to design and fabricate are a plus
  • Must be able to work in a multitasking work environment and prioritize work load
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Must have strong safety, quality, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A strong electrical background is a must; PLC experience a plus
