I have a Tempt-to- Hire position for a Facilities Maintenance Utility that we are looking to hire IMMEDIATELY for a Personal Care Product manufacturing com. Below is the description:

Job Description:
Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Utility
City: Culver city- relocating to Bell, CA
State: California
Job Duration: Temp-to-hire
Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time / Hourly
Schedule: M-F Must be flexible to OT and possible weekends
Pay Rate: 52-70K

This Plant is currently located in Culver City, Ca and is in transition to Bell, Ca for the next 16 - 24 weeks.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform plant GMPs
  • Perform stocking and supplying of janitorial, GMP supplies.
  • Respond to trouble line calls.
  • Perform Building Preventative Maintenance tasks by following PM standards.
  • Identify and perform continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicate daily with supervision on any production abnormality or improvement opportunity.
  • Perform 5S duties as assigned; Keep work area clean and orderly, properly store tools and materials.
  • Complete routine Work Orders, Work Requests as required
  • Assist with organizing sorting general maintenance components in the maintenance lab.
  • Correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in fast paced Food or Cosmetics Manufacturing Environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Experience repairing/maintaining office & grounds lighting, floors, walls, plumbing and faucets.
  • Applied skills with carpentry, drywall, and minor concrete repairs.
  • Fabrication, welding skills a big plus.
  • Experience repairing and assembling office equipment-furniture.
  • Applied skills plumbing and troubleshooting steam systems, sanitary systems.
  • Ability to read Machine/Equipment Manuals and select spare parts.
  • Basic computer skills; and ability to use Maintenance Work Oder Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience using a forklift, Power Pallet Jacks and man lifts
  • Must be able to use typical mechanic's tools, shop equipment.
  • Flexibility to work OT when necessary, including Saturdays.
  • Must be able to complete assigned non-routine tasks safely with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a fast pace manufacturing environment with minimal supervision at times.
