Volt Workforce Solutions is searching for a Facilities Manager for one of our clients in Brooklyn, NY.

Seeking a Facilities Manager that will be responsible for the management of an academy that has several locations in the Tri-State Area.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
•Oversee the Facilities Department; including supervising the entire maintenance team
•Oversee the repair, maintenance, and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and Elevators
•Assist in the development and execution of a facilities management plan
•Participate in the management and motivation of building staff; foster an atmosphere of teamwork among building staff, school staff, and contractors; ensure appropriate expertise and resources are in place to meet requirements and respond to requests in a courteous, timely, and highly effective manner
•Coordinate all demand maintenance, preventive maintenance, and reactive repair maintenance activities; oversee other building staff and contractors, if so required
•Respond to and coordinate all emergency call activities as necessary
•Maintain building interior, exterior and grounds
•Must be Handy to ensure all Maintenance repairs are handled in a timely manner
•Handle all inventory within the Facilities Department
•Ensure all locations are kept clean and tidy
•Responsible to handle Purchasing
•Assist in coordinating required governmental inspections, and regularly inspect all areas of the building and report deficiencies as well as suggestions for improvement
•Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; and maintain up-to-date building documentation and certifications
•Maintain all required administrative records including, but not limited to, log books, work records, maintenance records, contractor visits, keys issued, etc.
•At least 5+ years of Facilities Management experience
•Experience handling and managing several locations
•Universal EPA/Refrigerant/HVAC certifications preferred
•Familiarity with OSHA and other Life Safety codes, etc.
•Familiarity with electronic work order systems
•Extreme flexibility, with a strong work ethic
