Job Title: Factory Automation Tech

Location: Grovetown, Georgia

Payrate: $ 29.87/hr

Volt Workforce Solutions is looking for a Factory Automation Tech to work with a major manufacturer of farm and construction equipment in Grovetown, Georgia. In this role you would be responsible for planning, coordinating and performing manufacturing engineering work for a project or process of limited scope. This includes coordinating support personnel and creating work plans.

Duties:

  • Provides support and basic trouble shooting for current operations.
  • Investigates, gathers and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks.
  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of limited scope.
  • Identifies and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope.
  • Works with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
  • Designs operations layouts to improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Participates in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency.
  • Implements new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Modifies existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new wage performance pay plans.
  • Support continuous improvement opportunities and activities.

  • Experience working with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Factory Automation Leads to ensure manufacturing and standardization goals are achieved.
  • Able to provide electrical designs and programming within applicable standards to build new or modify existing production machines and systems.
  • Experience changing control logic and software including, but not limited to: relay ladder logic, PLCs, HMIs, and PC based logic.
  • Able to work with IT and Global Information Services (GIS) to ensure software policies are maintained and hardware that is used by Factory Automation is supported and that any network or database issues are expediently resolved.
  • Electronic Engineering or Control Engineering degree preferred.
