Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a candidate to fill an immediate vacancy in the Elk Grove area for a Failure Analysis Technician in a warehouse setting. This is a non-supervisory position with responsibilities to focus on production operations. This is a hands-on and active role, that will utilize your skills and knowledge to analyze the failed unit and breakdown the fail symptoms to identify the root cause and provide the corrective action. 

This role is full-time, both day and swing shift are available with opportunity for overtime. Please see below for further job details and how to apply:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle and assembly with electronic devices. 
  • Identify unsafe practices and report to supervisor.
  • Provide engineering support for production to ensure maximum results.
  • Stay current with production processes.
  • Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability.
  • Report failed units’ failure analysis and solution.
  • Comply with company and customer safety guidelines, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist leads, debugs, and engineers with inquiries on production line.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from groups or managers.
  • Ability to provide engineering support for production to ensure maximum production.
  • Ability to investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions.
  • Strong listening, oral and written communication skills, ability to motivate.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills as well as administrative management skills.
  • Ability to develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality and reliability.
  • Working Knowledge in Manufacturing Processes Validations, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Provision and statistical process control principles.
  • Working Knowledge in DOE Design of Experiments and NPI New Product Introductions (Desirable).
  • Mandarin Speaking is a plus.
