Job Description

We are looking to hire a Field Technical Service Assistant for my Client in the Automotive Coatings industry to work at their end Client site in Listowel, ON for approximately a 3-6 months opportunity. This position will be through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

Job Description:

  • Client: in the Automotive Coatings Industry
  • Employer: Volt Workforce Solutions Canada
  • Client Location: Listowel, ON N4W 3H4
  • Shift: Range Mon-Fri from 8am-4pm EST and/or 9:30am-5:30pm EST and/or 7am to 7pm EST depending on the need
  • Hours per day: 8-9 hours per day for 5 days a week
  • Term: starting ASAP for a period of 3-6 months
  • Pay Rate: $25/hr (T4) + benefits available + 4% vacation pay

JOB PROFILE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION):

  • Build good relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Conduct and communicate day to day operations and projects at assigned account.
  • Effectively communicate problems, issues and concerns to FTS Lead, R&D, Lansing Paint Design Team, QA, and production personnel.
  • Monitor and track color, inventory, usage rates, on-line performance, and appearance on line at customer site.
  • Assist in material adjustments on batches and samples.
  • Analyze process problems and use of problem solving skills to determine root cause and implement preventative action.
  • Assist in project work, support schedules, and attend internal team meetings.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

REQUIRED:

  • Two years minimum of Automotive Coating Experience

ALTERNATIVE:

  • Industry related experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

  • Computer and software skills
  • Communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Be able to work with 2 component coatings and isocyanates
  • Good Time management skills
  • Be able to travel by air
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.

DESIRABLE:

  • Previous customer exposure
  • Coatings application experience
  • Thorough knowledge of NB Coatings manufacturing process and paperwork flow
  • Project Management experience
  • Negotiating skills
  • Haz-Mat training
