Job Description

Summary:
The Field Technician is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of field-level tasks and responsibilities. This
position is responsible for safely performing any field-related tasks, as requested by the Field Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Field-Level:
? Report to duty at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure, to allow enough time to prepare truck and gear
? Assist with equipment transfers as required
? Connect with client representatives prior to departure from the shop, unless otherwise ordered by the Field Service
Manager
? Complete all required pre-job safety paperwork, including: pre-job hazard assessment, job safety assessment (JSA),
pre-job vehicle inspection, and pre-job equipment checklist
? Use navigation tools to locate client worksites
? Safely install, troubleshoot, and retrieve equipment as required
? Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the company’s products and services
? Having clear on-call communication of schedule with field service manager and no expectation of guaranteed work
hours for any specific time frame
Client and Community relations:
? Adhere to the company’s code of conduct at all times
? Engage with clients and community members with respect and professionalism at all times
Shop Management:
? Assist the Field Service Manager with the completion of pre and post job duties, including: preparing vehicles
(fueling, loading, etc.), testing equipment, returning vehicles (cleaning), and cleaning equipment
? Assist in general housekeeping of the shop, including: sweeping floors, taking out garbage, putting away PPE
? Return vehicles to shop and unload of equipment (job equipment, PPE, phone chargers, GPS, handheld tools, etc.)

Job Description: Casual Field Technician
? All trucks must be washed (particularly the wheel wells) following each shift
? Gear should be placed in the appropriate spots (ex. damaged gear goes on the “red tag” shelf, batteries to the
charging stations, etc.)
? Broken/damaged gear must be red tagged and set aside – notify Field Service Manager immediately
? Trucks must be refueled prior to returning to the shop
? Assist with inventory tracking and logs, as required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Responsibilities
? Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
? Professional attitude and communication
? Notify Field Service Manager on shift availability as soon as possible
? Record and maintain all required log books and other paperwork requirements on a daily basis
? Accurately track and record time on the Time Sheet, and submit to the Field Service Manager by required deadlines
? Completion of all company required safety certifications and client specific safety orientations within 1 month of
employment
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
? Safely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
? Ability to drive safely through all types of weather conditions dependent upon location climate
? Flexible availability
? Works well with minimal supervision
Health and Safety:
? Promote a healthy and safe work environment for all workers, clients, community members, and other
stakeholders
? Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings with all staff members
? Ensure all Safety Training Certificates are valid and available for presentation at all times
? Actively participate in the Health and Safety Management system, and performs all duties and tasks related to the
Field Technician position, as defined by Company policy and procedure
? Ensure all legal and regulatory compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Required Education and Experience:
? Valid driver’s license & insurable driving record
? High school diploma or GED equivalent required
