Volt Workforce Solutions is "hiring now" for an exceptional opportunity with one of the top companies in beautiful Santa Barbara. We are seeking a Financial Planning and Analyst Manager. Ideal candidate must have knowledge of medical device quality system regulations and standards. 

 Provide planning, analysis and data management within the finance department. Duties include independent handling of external resource tracking and validation, monitoring and analysis of project, financial and contract costs, contract compliance and communications, multiple data base development, maintenance and reporting.


  • Oversight of clerical and support staff in all areas related to business processes and financial planning and analysis.
  • Leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
  • Maintenance of Rental agreements and supporting database to track and analyze equipment rentals.
  • Oversight and tracking of headcount, project budget and capital equipment expenditures and maintenance of supporting documentation and schedules.
  • Utilize SAP to support the department with entry, analysis and report generation.
  • Update department policies and procedures as required and route for approvals.
  • Receive, screen, route, and track staff and purchase requests, email, and other correspondence and maintenance of excel data bases to support these activities
  • Coordinate communications with parent company, track, investigate and troubleshoot delays in responses on both sides.
  • Provide support for detailed analysis of monthly project costs and reclassification journal entry preparation.
  • Perform monthly analysis of actual costs for compliance with existing budgetary constraints, identify and communicate areas of concern.
  • Gathering and analysis of data as required by cross company global projects.
  • Create and support organizational charts and flow documents using Visio.
  • Back up EMIS Planning and Project Administrator in support of Project Server, Project cost analysis and R&D Tax credit preparation.
  • Back up PDI NDA Contract Manager in contract compliance and record maintenance.
  • Will spend part of his/her time as a member of continuous improvement teams undertaking projects and seeking ways to improve the quality of company products and services


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or accounting strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years general accounting, analysis or data management experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) required.
  • SAP software experience preferred, including information and reporting systems.
  • Experience in a Research and Development environment preferred.
