Job Description

We are looking to hire a Financial Analyst with Manufacturing/Aerospace experience to work in Oakville, ON for our Client in the Aerospace industry, for approximately a 12 month contract with possibility of extension, through our Company Volt Workforce Solutions Canada.

  • Pay Rate: $38.46 - $41.03/hr (T4) depending on experience + benefits available

In this position you will be reporting to the Manager, Finance - Aftermarket/MRO. Your primary role will be to provide financial support to the Aftermarket/MRO Business. This would include but not be restricted to the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial and cost data from numerous sources. This position will also be required to present business cases to management to aid in making sound business decisions. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Provide results analyses for Aftermarket/MRO Business 
• Support gap analyses as required 
• Support monthly Value Stream reviews with value streams & program management 
• Coordinate and manage cost center budgeting/forecasting for Aftermarket/MRO Business 
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance to accounting policy 
• Establish and monitor standard costs for Aftermarket/MRO Business, identify exceptions and ensure costing integrity 
• Provide support to pricing/ estimating/negotiating team for new business proposals 
• Support and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual activities and reporting 
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for projects as assigned 
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects 
• Recommend and implement improvements to current processes 
• Assist in audit requests as required 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience as a financial analyst or related experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably in an aerospace environment. 
• 5 years costing experience in a repair and overhaul facility preferred. 
• University degree in Business/Finance or related area required 
• Accounting designation or in final year of a recognized accounting program (ex: CGA or CMA) required 
• Excellent PC skills; demonstrated strength using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc. is required 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
• Candidate must be a detail oriented, proactive individual. 
• Experience within an ERP environment; experience with SAP is preferred. 
• Must be willing and able to travel as needed to support the business between Canada and the U.S. 
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment. 
• Demonstrated values including ethical behavior, customer-focus improvement, accountability & teamwork, openness & trust
