Job Description

Finance Manager-

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to work at our 100-person facility in Brenham, TX.  This role reports directly to the VP/General Manager and will oversee the P&L for their $30 million manufacturing operation in Brenham, Texas.. This person will be a member of the leadership team, touch all aspects of our business, and have the ability to influence business results globally. 

 

Responsibilities:

Senior Finance and Accounting position with functional responsibilities in a manufacturing environment.  Responsibilities would include P&L management for a business unit site and related accounting responsibilities supporting a manufacturing organization with compliance to US GAAP and corporate financial policies

Major Duties:

  1. Partner with business unit general manager and provide financial management analysis to achieve business and financial objectives.

  2. Coordinate accounting close process and financial statement preparation, with analysis of business unit results and functional area reporting requirements, to produce accurate and timely financial statements.

  3. Review overall valuation and control of site assets and/or liability categories and coordinate related monthly and annual processes to ensure proper reporting.

  4. Implement and monitor effective internal controls and procedures, and coordinate financial audits and reviews of operational processes to support those controls.

  5. Define, document and maintain financial business system requirements and provide financial oversight to the design, testing and utilization of those systems.

  6. Complete, publish and present site management reporting, including variance analysis, and communicate financial status and issues with management.  Advise business unit management of performance results and options for improvement.

  7. Manage budgeting and financial planning projects with reporting, analysis and guidance to site management to achieve site financial objectives, including sales, profitability and asset management metrics

  8. May supervise or provide work direction and training to financial staff or related functions.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Business field

Experience:

Six (6) years experience in accounting procedures. Manufacturing experience preferred
