Job Description

Volt is looking for a talented and highly motivated Fleet Manager for an exciting new opportunity in Fairfield, NJ! This is a Direct Hire position. 

About the company and job: 
A local home improvement service provider is looking to expand their management team to meet the growing customer demand. They are looking to bring on a qualified Fleet Manager to initially implement a tracking/ monitoring system and other best practices. Other day to day responsibilities will include managing the operation of the organization's fleet, overseeing compliance and reporting, managing department budgets, developing and maintaining outside vendor and service provider relationships and providing input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. During off season provide additional company support.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage labor hours, schedules and supplies within budget
  • Meet productivity and budgetary goals
  • Recommend efficiency ideas and implement cost reduction measures
  • Consistently enforce departmental compliance to company policies and procedures
  • Manage company assets, coordinate scheduled maintenance and required repairs as necessary
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to reach the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a high level of associate satisfaction through open communication
  • Maintain a safe work environment and conduct accident investigations when necessary

Qualifications & Experience

  • College degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in fleet management
  • Bilingual | Spanish & English is required for this role. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Power Point)

Annual Compensation:
$40,000-$50,000 DOE 
Candidates to consider will be available for Saturdays during peak and rotating Saturdays the rest of the year.
