Job Description

Our Client is searching for a Material Handler (Fork Truck Driver) to join our team on all Shifts in Rock Island, IL!


Performing the following tasks related to the completion of inbound shipments:

  • Unloading shipments from carriers
  • Inspecting materials received
  • Reporting on discrepancies and quarantining materials as necessary
  • Counting and recording inventory received
  • Receiving inventory into warehouse management system
  • Putting away received inventory
  • Completing documentation and reports for inbound shipments

Performing the following tasks related to completion of outbound shipments:

  • Picking inventory
  • Packaging and labeling materials for shipment
  • Inspecting materials to be shipped
  • Reporting on discrepancies and quarantining materials as necessary
  • Scheduling outbound shipments
  • Completing shipments in warehouse management system
  • Completing documentation and reports for outbound shipments



  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to follow work instructions and procedures
  • Forklift experience required
  • Forklift certification

Desired Skills:  

  • Ability to learn and work with Warehouse Management System software
  • Aptitude to learn the use of scales, forklifts and other production equipment

  • Summary:
    Kitting/Picking/Packing Warehouse Associates provide hand bindery and packing functions including kit packing, finished goods assembly, and packing finished kits that have been made. Candidates for this position must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift 25 - 50 lbs.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Various duties include; kitting parts, packing finished kits, and/or picking the parts to be placed at kiting stations.

    High level of detail, task oriented, good time management

    Must be able to multitask to meet deadlines

    Good verbal and written communication skills

    Able to identify problems and come up with solutions

    Able to research issues and find the cause

    Able to improve on operations with continuous warehouse improvement

    Work overtime as needed

    Locates and kit’s required materials for specific production orders and verifies that the product is identified appropriately and approved to distribute to the manufacturing lines


    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • Ability to read and interpret instructions/specifications of a job
    • Previous warehouse and/or assembly line experience is preferred, but not required
    • Must be able to read, write and speak English
    • Must have basic math skills

    Schedule & Pay

    1st shift Monday to Friday 6:30AM to 3PM - $11.50 Hourly

    2nd shift Monday to Friday 3pm – 10pm - $12.00 Hourly

    3rd shift Sunday to Thursday 10PM to 6:30AM - $12.50 Hourly
