Job Description

Volt has partnered with a large organization in Philadelphia, PA  to identify a FP&A System Specialist.  This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is looking to make a significant impact in a large-scale Business Transformation project. This individual will have great visibility within the organization and will play a key role working with other team members to drive results and implement the new system.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on a new S4 Hana 1709 implementation responsible for configuration review, functional specification development, data mapping and documentation
  • Support on translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications and work with project team to implement functionality.
  • Responsible for documenting business procedures, functional designs, test scenarios, test plan, test results and end user training materials 

Specific Knowledge Requirements and Tasks:

  • Solid understanding of FP&A processes and management reporting systems
  • Advanced SAP user or SAP developer with proven experience in FICO and COPA configuration in relation to Cost Center-Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Internal Orders and Projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business reporting requirements and to translate them into the right design decisions and configuration in SAP.
  • BPC Planning experience preferred but not required.
  • Good knowledge of basic FI modules and processes, new G/L for S4 HANA is a plus.
  • Design, configuration and validation of management reporting rules and allocations for Cost Centers, Profit Centers and Business Area reporting.
  • Other tasks will include to assist with presentations to leadership, training materials, system data loads, creation of cross reference mapping files among others.
  • General accounting knowledge/experience
  • Agile methodology and Solman experience is a plus

Required Skills:

  • Strong team player capable to work with other workstreams (Make to Deploy, Order to Cash, etc.) understanding other configuration designs impacting Cost Center, Profit Center and Business Area.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of accounting systems, processes and standards
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation projects is a plus
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, managing competing priorities with tight deadlines
  • Motivated and strong drive for results

Required Education / Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience as FP&A solution specialist or COPA Analyst
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering or related field with minor in Business Administration.
