General Laborer

Location: Greensboro, NC

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Perform product assembly using both discrete and sub-assembly level components by reading and applying documented assembly work instructions.  Actions include proper selection, handling and installation of components using both tools/machinery and methods identified in the assembly instructions. Additionally responsible for material identification, movement, storage and disposal to support production.         


  • Reads and comprehends instructions and follows established policies and procedures/  
  • Assembles components and fastens parts and sub-assemblies accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications. 
  • Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy and other functions as needed. 
  • Material identification, movement, storage and disposal to support production.  
  • Reports any non-conformance or production barriers with a recommended solution 
  • Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures to include wearing applicable PPE; performs ergonomic stretches 
  • Consistently follows lean manufacturing concepts including 5S   


  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Prior use of powered industrial trucks such as stand-up fork truck 
  • Experience using hand held tools such as a screw driver and/or hand held power tools
  • Ability to work alone and with others 
  • Self-motivated 


  • Previous assembly experience 
  • Previous material handling / inventory control experience 
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams preferred
  • Ability to read/view items close up or at a distance 
  • Can lift up to 25 pounds without lift assistance. 
  • Continuous walking and standing 
  • Frequent reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling 
  • Ability to distinguish the difference between colors 
  • Steel/composite toe safety shoes
