Description/Comment:Summary: The main function of an Infrastructure/Systems Administrator is to install, configure, and support software and tools within the technical infrastructure of the organization. A typical systems administrator is responsible for monitoring the network to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance and issue resolution. Job Responsibilities: Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary on/off-shift and during weeknds. Configure, monitor and maintain email applications or virus protection software. Provides guidance and assistance to other team members. Work with vendors on integration of purchased application solutions. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one?s time as well as well as being a collaborative team member. Strong ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements. Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue. Fully knowledgeable of computer hardware and software and its related infrastructure components and/or operating environment identified in the assignment requirements. Oracle, DB2, MySQL, SQL Server, Cisco Network Administration,C44 Windows, LINUX, AIX Server Admins, Windows PC or desktop Admins, Citrix, Basis. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required. 5-6 years experience required.
