Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Global Director of Business Development. The ideal candidate will grow our clients cloud sales pipeline, create a competitive, motivating and fun work atmosphere.  This role will also provide regular reports to stakeholder’s cloud sales. You will work with work in collaboration with Regional Sales VP's, the Chief Marketing Officer, the CEO, the Director of Lead Generation, RVP's and regional marketing to build, maintain and scale a framework and team of global BDR's (Business Development Representatives) focused on outbound lead generation. The Global Director of BDR’s will be responsible for recruitment, on boarding, training and development of BDR’s as well as developing the compensation plans, infrastructure and tools, processes, SLA's and goals, standards and best practices. 

Training & development

  • Develop a training plan for BDR's on company's solutions and verticals, our go-to-market and BDR related activities.
  • As team leads join, train team leads for future delegation (train the trainer).
  • Identify top performers and coach them towards their next role. Prep them for career growth within the company
  •  
  • Metrics, KPIs, reporting, and SLAs
  • Define and report on SLA’s, metrics and KPIs related to BDR activities, lead funnel progression and opportunity creation.
  • Ownership and accountability for aggregate BDR's metrics with focus on MQLs and SQL's and Cloud Revenue
  • Design a BDR executive report to show opportunity creation results and progression per business unit according to SLA's agreed with RVP's. Publish weekly/monthly/etc.

Global standards and best practices

  • Develop and document global BDR standards and best practices (Lead definition, lead qualification form, call guides per industry, onboarding, training, etc).
  • Recommend and agree with RVPs and regional marketing on the lead process. Ensure lead process is respected.
  • Recommend and agree on lead SLAs (lead goal) per business unit.
  • Develop/define BDR territories (verticals, geo, Net New/In Bound).

       Establish BDR funnels (based on what exists already and what needs to be generated to get to goals).

Requirements:

Education/Licenses:  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or similar preferred.

Experience:  7+ years in global business development. Proven results in building and managing BDR teams on a global scale. 5+ years working in B2B technology. Success in implementing Account Based Marketing tools and tactics to drive leads, accelerate funnel, and increase win rates.

Computer skills:  Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills; expert in CRM / Marketing Automation / and Account Based Marketing Tools

Other knowledge or skills: Proven aptitude for working in a multi-cultural environment; high level understanding of BDR techniques. Experience in coordinating telemarketing campaigns and lead generation activities in the context of B2B Account Based Marketing. Strong creative, presentation, written and oral communication, time management, organization and interpersonal skills are essential.  Knowledge of the “Challenger” methodology preferred
