Job Description

Volt has an opening for a Graphic Designer for a client in Melville, NY. We are looking for someone with experience in Graphics Designing. Volts Client is the leading provider of vision care and coverage and they are committed to providing superior eye care and services that create members for life.

Graphic Designer for 3 months contract in Melville, NY:

5-10 years experience in graphic design/production design Fashion Experience preferred Must have skills- InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Portfolio Link must be submitted for consideration

With minimum supervision, utilizes current technology to provide direction, advice and support for creation of graphic design projects to the Corporate Communications Department and other business partners throughout the company. Responsible for the conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books and magazines, corporate identity or brand and online site design, from concept to completion.

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field or equivalent graphic design experience
  • Three to five years of equivalent computer graphic design work experience including typesetting, layout color theory, and creation of original artwork
  • Proficient with the Macintosh computer utilizing PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and FreeHand, and knowledge of Powerpoint, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated proofreading and editing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties
