Job Description

Goal of this Position

  • Hand assembly/processing of printed circuit boards and other electronic assemblies per the IPC-610 standard
  • Follow Aegis work instructions or Bills of material and customer documentation
  • Work within the parameters of the QM System to help the company achieve general and company-specific quality efforts and growth goals.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Hand soldering of through-hole and SMT components
  • Visual inspection using magnifying lamps and microscopes
  • Touching up solder joints
  • Trimming leads
  • Cleaning PCB’s
  • Visual inspection of assemblies
  • Installing hardware such as screws, nuts and washers
  • Enter defects into Aegis
  • Operators may receive training on specialized equipment or custom assembly fixtures
  • General housekeeping of workstations and assembly lines
  • Report all defective material to area lead or manager
  • Pack and/or unpack material and/or assemblies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain material traceability as required.Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Read and interpret drawings and bills of material
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
