Handler - 3rd Shift in Queens, NY at Volt

Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is currently hiring Package Handlers in for the holiday season at JFK Airport.

Shift: 5pm – 11pm

Composite-toe shoes required.

THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION: WILL LAST APPROXIMATELY 4-5 WEEKS.

Package Handlers are responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling etc.; in a safe and efficient manner. All shifts available.

Job Description:

• Ability to lift 50 Lbs. Able to maneuver packages above 50 lbs. with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
• Loading and unloading packages/sorting packages based on zip codes
• Ability to successfully complete all basic and reoccurring training
• The ability to communicate both timely and effectively within a noisy environment
