Job Description

VOLT is currently recruiting for a contract Helpdesk position to work with an amazing company in Fargo.  This position will be joining an internal IT team to support employees locally and worldwide.  Due to the need to assist employees outside the U.S., this position will be working 3-11pm Sunday - Thursday.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Troubleshoot network outages – open trouble tickets with circuit vendors as necessary this can include individual stores internet circuits.
  • Cisco Call Manager phone administration – able to add new phones and reconfigure existing hardware.
  • Voicemail box setup/configuration/deletion.
  • Ability to write documentation for anyone to understand.
  • Demonstrate ability to properly order inventory from our vendors to fulfill requests from customers.
  • Provide effective telephone support to remote team members.
  • Install and configure personal computer hardware and software.
  • Identify and correct PC hardware and software problems.
  • Connect personal computers to network servers and printers.
  • Utilize technology databases to identify problem solutions.
  • Work together with IT team members to meet and/or exceed all defined team and individual customer service measures.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively setup users on a multitude of internal and vendor provided software applications and databases
  • Achieve and maintain vendor certifications for our supported systems.
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot company provided VPN.
  • Update inventory database for accurate billing of equipment within company.
  • Follow written instructions to complete tasks.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 year degree or higher in a business or information technology program
  • 1+ years of customer service or related technical support experience
  • Minimum of 1-year as IT Service/Help Desk
