Volt Workforce Solutions is looking to hire Help Desk Technician in the Carlsbad Area!!

RESPONSIBILITIES: Software/hardware desktop support for 100 workstations in a mixed PC/MAC environment.

        Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and provide solutions for configuring, installing, replacing and repairing workstation software/hardware
  • Deploy, maintain, and upgrade a variety of desktop and laptop devices and applications
  • Support end user phone and email Mitel Phone system, Exchange Server)
  • Support end user requests for help
  • Support tablet and mobile devices Android/iOS
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the department manager

                    Key Requirements:

  • Must be able to effectively prioritize work assignments with attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to identify, research, document, and track technical problems using Enchant helpdesk software
  • Must be able to train end users in use of equipment and software as needed
  • Must be able to lift and move workstations, monitors, etc.
  • Must be able to multi-task

Public Contact: 

Phone and email communications with outside technical support resources and vendors

        Organizational Relationships:

Reports directly to the Manager of Information Technology and is accountable to all upper management personnel


        Education and Training:

CompTIA A+ certification or 1-2 years desktop support work experience supporting 50 or more users prefered.

        Technical Experience:

  • Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7,8.x 10.x; Mac OS
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN technologies, wireless access points, and basic network security
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Outlook/Entourage email support
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair printers a plus
  • Connectwise Automate knowledge a plus
  • Connectwise Control remote software knowledge a plus
