Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is seeking a Helpdesk Technician for a client located in Beaverton, OR. This is a 6 month temp to hire contingent position. We are among the largest IT recruitment firms in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top-rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

In this role, you’ll provide break fix and helpdesk resources for the entire organization. This position is responsible for resolving PC issues, desktop application issues, managing printer environments and managing trouble tickets that come in on a day to day basis.  This is a high customer contact role that impacts the entire company.


  • Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance of personal computers and peripheral systems
  • Complete all installations of upgrades and back-ups of software and hardware applications at the desktop level
  • Support the Help Desk function and resolve trouble tickets in a timely fashion
  • Use ME trouble ticket system to manage workload
  • Maintain PC standard images and deploy PC’s throughout the organization
  • May assist in user education and training
  • Troubleshoot PC related software and hardware failures and identify network problems
  • Assist network and system administrators with trouble shooting
  • Assist with electronic communications systems (FAX, Email, VoIP)
  • Perform basic network security functions such as resetting passwords
  • Write and maintain end user and support documentation


  • Windows Imaging experience
  • Experience with AV equipment.
  • Windows client update Tools (WUS, SCOM, MDT, WDS or other)
  • Experience/working knowledge of PC operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, MS Office 2007, 2013 and 2016)
  • Competence with standard office software packages
  • Good understanding of desktop printing configurations and setup
  • VOIP
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • VPN
  • 2-4 years relevant experience
  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Experience with Active Directory is preferred
  • Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, hardware, networking, printers, wireless and VOIP
  • CompTIA A+ certification is desirable
