Job Description

Shift: 5:00am to 1:30pm

This is your opportunity to join the team in the Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) providing process and production services in an Assembly and Fabrication area. Here you will enjoy ongoing development and training with opportunities to broaden your skills base.  Operators in the Hermetics department must have excellent hand/eye coordination and a high level of detail for inspection.  In order to successfully build the hermetic assemblies, one should possess fine motor skills related to small part assembly and the ability to learn to safely operate equipment such as belt furnaces and helium leak detectors.

  • Candidates must have the ability to function with a high level of responsibility, use of good judgment and understand the impact of your decisions. 

Experience:

  • Must have the willingness to learn, strong teamwork, positive attitude, dedication and job flexibility are a must. 

  • Must have demonstrated the comprehension to follow processing instructions, both formal and informal, and the ability to learn and retain instructions/information given.

  • Proven success in a precision assembly, polishing and or grinding, electrical test, and/or deburring operation to over-deliver on customer needs

  • Must be able to handle small parts and work under microscope with excellent hand-eye coordination.

  • Must be able to read prints and comprehend GD&T methodology.

  • Demonstration of excellent communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills, enabling effective interaction with co-workers, engineers, maintenance technicians and management team.

  • You must be able and willing to work in a chemical process environment and be comfortable working safely with chemicals.

  • Proven success in a precision assembly, polishing and or grinding, electrical test, and/or deburring operation to over-deliver on customer needs

  • At least 2 years’ experience in critical cosmetic inspection and handling of delicate and or small parts demonstrating rapid skill development and progressively increased proficiency.
