Job Description

Immediate Need! for an Experienced HR Assistant needed for a great agriculture company in Carpinteria CA.

This is a Permanent full time position with great benefits!  

You  will be responsible for assisting the human resources department.  You will assist in providing a wide range of HR support. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by aiding with recruitment, performance management, safety meetings, employee relations and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management. 

~Assist with Implementing and administering employee policies
~Sets appointments and meetings for the HR Dept. 

~In charge of Safety Meetings 

~Workers Compensation knowledge is a great plus+

~Make new hire application and packets Support the HR department in implementing programs  to help improve the employee experience
~Resourceful- can research and order supplies for the office
~Assist the HR Dept. in maintaining positive relationships with employees through good employee relations
~Answers phones, takes messages and directs calls
~Prepare paperwork as needed for the HR Director 
~3+ years' experience in Human Resources Assistant or Support role needed
~Knowledge of HR policies and procedures and Labor Laws
~Strong knowledge of hiring processes and paperwork
~Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
~Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
~Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion and confidentiality  
~Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
~Agriculture environment experience is a great plus +
~Bilingual (English/Spanish)

~First Aid CPR Certified is a great +, if you are not you have to be willing to get certified and be willing to administer first aid if needed.

Dress Code: Business casual and conservative. Must not be sensitive to noise or smells. Does not mind getting dirty and doing job walks with employees.

Position Included Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and 401k with 3% match. 

Pay rate is $16.00 an hour to start with a pay raise at 90 days if your performance is positive.

The schedule is Mon- Fri from 7:00AM – 4:30Pm and Saturdays from 7:00AM to 12:00Pm noon. That means you work 40 regular hours a week and 10 overtime hours. 

This gives you a starting salary of $45,760.00
