Job Description

Volt is currently seeking a Human Resources Director in the Healthcare industry for our client in San Antonio.

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Director, in the Healthcare industry, guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire company.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or other business degree preferred but not required with appropriate experience. PHR Required.
  • 5 years of proven experience working at an HR Director capacity.
  • Experience in an HR Director role from the Healthcare Industry. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both oral and written. 
  • Public speaking skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.
  • Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs.
  • This position manages all the employees of the Management Co. and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that group.
  • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resource issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction.
  • Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountability, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention.
  • Communicate with employees about compensation, benefits, and other facets of their employment.
  • Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety.
  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development, etc.
  • Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics.
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • Work alongside with COO and CEO on Provider staffing.
