Enhance your HR Career!  Volt Workforce Solutions, in partnership with a leading manufacturer is seeking a HR Generalist for their Sumner team. As the HR Generalist, you will:

Perform day to day operations of Human Resources, including: the oversight, administration and coordination of Employment, Employee relations and Benefits.

Essential Job Functions:

  • SME in ensuring compliance to state and federal employment laws
  • Partner with management to communicate Company and Human Resource polices procedures and programs
  • Provide guidance and input on performance management, succession planning, workforce planning and organizational development
  • Thoroughly and objectively investigate employee relation issues and complaints, making recommendations for appropriate action
  • Exempt level New hire and Benefit Orientation and applicable paperwork
  • Responsible for administering, coordinating Federal, State and company leave policies (FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD etc.)
  • Responsible for administrating the Return to work program for on the job injuries (L & I)
  • Scheduling, coordinating annual open enrollment process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and /or AA degree with 2 years exempt level experience and or combination of education and experience. PHR or SPHR experience a plus.
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable local, state and federal regulations related to Human Resources activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles and practices of human resources
  • Experience with labor & industries: employee claims and processing applicable paperwork
  • Experience with a Payroll or HRIS database strongly preferred
  • Able to work effectively with both employees and managers and convey a positive and professional image to employees and external contacts
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) W/ PowerPoint a plus
  • High ethical standards with the ability to work in and maintain confidentiality
  • Able to adapt to an ever-changing work environment while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong organizational / time management skills and ability to work with minimum supervision required
  • Prior experience working with ADP Payroll, Report Smith and Attendance Enterprise a plus
