Job Description

Do you have experience with all functions of HR including HR policies and New Hire process including orientation? Do you enjoy relationship building and thrive in a fast-paced environment?  Are you looking for a position 20 – 30 hours per week?  If so, Volt Workforce Solutions, a has an opportunity for you for we are currently looking for a HR Generalist for one of our successful clients in Denver, PA.

Position:        HR Generalist

Duration:        7 months

Hours:            20 – 30 hours per week

Pay Rate:       $22.50 - $25.00/ hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process timely and accurately new-hires, transfers, promotions and terminations
  • Manage APR files ensuring records are complete and accurate
  • Track program compliance including performance review completion, SOX, sexual harassment, and Code of Conduct
  • Handbook/New Hire Orientation packets current and annual issuance with acknowledgements
  • Oversee administration of tuition reimbursement program
  • Manage Mentoring Program administration
  • Assist HR Business Partners with severance and reduction in force administration
  • Benefits administration including escalation to appropriate resource
  • Recommend improvements from analysis of HR metrics and / or observation of HR processes
  • Coordinates and / or presents New Associate Orientation (NAO)
  • Facilitate compliance training, HR policies and procedures communication and management development training
  • Research, resolve or escalate issues related to payroll, vacation, leave and / or benefits  
  • Researches associate complaints / issues – resolves or escalates
  • Answers associate and management questions regarding HR Policies
  • Tracks HR Metrics (i.e., exit interviews, service levels– Payroll / HR administration, sick bank accruals)
  • HR ATS, Taleo on-site expert
  • Regular communication keeping HR Manager informed on happenings; opportunities; status on employment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR business related field, Behavioral Sciences preferred
  • Knowledge of HR from any of the following: college coursework, trainee situation, hourly HR support work or similar work/professional experience  
  • Proven planning, organizing and leadership skills
  • Ability to motivate and work in cooperation with others to achieve desired results  
  • Possess analytical, assessment, program execution and facilitation skills
  • Ability to maintain effective business relationships within all areas of the company and the ability to work with all levels of associates  
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
