This is a tremendous opportunity to work in a highly organized and fast paced environment where you will be responsible for helping candidates find employment and contribute to the worldwide distribution of freight on a massive scale! Our client is looking for someone with an outgoing, positive attitude, who is detail oriented and focused on providing top level customer service to current and potential candidates!

Skills and Attributes The HR Employment Specialist must possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels of an organization
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures with an ability to be detail oriented and highly organized
  • High level of skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Good time management skills 
  • Strong customer service focus and great team player
  • Working knowledge and experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office, including intermediate skills with Excel

Essential Functions The HR Employment Specialist performs the following essential functions:

1. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.

2. Maintains personnel files and other human resources records according to records retention policies and procedures.

3. Assists and/or prepares any human resources correspondence.

4. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars upon request.

5. Provides information to applicants regarding application process, employment policies, organizational information, and employment postings.

6. Assists hiring managers system-wide regarding university’s hiring process, employment policies, background check process and any other recruitment and hiring questions.

7. Completes verification of employment as requested.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.
