Job Description

Volt has an amazing opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant (Bilingual Spanish) to join our growing organization.  In this position, you will manage employee records, keep and update files, and prepare reports as needed.  An organized, detail-orientated work ethic is a must. 

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 
  • Organize, compile, update company personnel records and documentation
  • Recruitment of potential applicants based on experience, skills, and education
  • Interviews and screens potential candidates
  • Administrative tasks such as performing background checks, filing paperwork, completing employee documentation, recording data on each current employee: maintaining and filing paperwork of terminated or exiting employees
  • Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
  • Provide administrative support to CFO
  • May help in payroll preparation when needed: provides documentation of employee absences, and personal time off
  • Field employee questions and address employee concerns with company, including employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health
  • Help to manage committees on wellness, training, health and safety, and communications as needed
  • Document and report work related injuries to worker’s compensation carrier, maintain employee work injury files and OSHA logs, coordinate appointments with the Company’s workplace injury clinic, work with worker’s compensation carrier and facility management to aid in injury resolution, including assignment of light or modified duty to injured workers when appropriate
  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • 2 years of experience as an HR Assistant (essential)
  • Bilingual Spanish id a MUST
  • Exposure to and familiarity with Labor Law and employment equity regulations
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Exposure to payroll practices
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Highly computer literate with capability in emails, MS Office and related business and communication tools
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions

Shifts Available:

1st Shift 9am – 6pm, Mon-Fri w/ some Saturdays as needed
