Human Resources Generlist

Human Resources Generalist

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition in the recruitment of key/difficult to fill positions within the location.
  • Work closely with General Manager and Corporate HR regarding implementation of HR strategies, such as performance management, annual salary reviews and Learning & Development initiatives.
  • Conduct research into Human Resource programs and activities, and recommend changes and/or innovations when desirable.
  • Coordinate and assist in keeping Associates and Management informed of all changes with Human Resource policies as well as counsel with associates on Human Resource policies and personal matters.
  • Lead in the solutions and appropriate reactions to complaints received from management personnel and associates.
  • Develop and supervise training programs, and assist with the administering of new associate orientation and indoctrination programs.
  • Partner with Management in the interpretation of Human Resource policies in the advisement and participation with facility Supervision in disciplinary and/or termination proceedings.
  • Lead the site annual performance management process through ETWeb system.
  • Meet with staff members to identify training needs for key personnel within their department.
  • Research cost effective training programs to achieve business goals and/or strategies to support the company's Medical growth and meet department needs.
  • Manage leave of absence, workers compensation, benefit administration and ensure associates are informed of all changes.
  • Works closely with safety committee with regard to company policies, practices and programs to address safety concerns; reports findings to management. Measurement: Change in Worker's Compensation mod rate.
  • Assure that facility employment, employee relations, equal opportunity as well as health and safety policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws including the maintenance of necessary files, etc.
  • Set up and maintain general control methods, records, and files as required for effective H.R. functions.
  • Designs and administers associate recognition programs and activities that are designed to maintain and improve associate morale.

Our expectations

  • B.S. Degree in Business (or equivalent) or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 + or more years’ experience in a Human Resources position working with management.
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership and managing multiple projects of medium complexity
  • Proficient in Employment Law and Regulations.
  • Ability to handle wide scope of H.R. situations within the framework of federal and state legislation.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to communicate with all levels.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and ADP HRIS systems.
  • Spanish fluency, written/oral.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to focus on metrics.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills. Excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
  • Initiative and leadership skills.
  • Trustworthy, discrete and a high degree of personal integrity to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects / tasks in a high-pressure environment while balancing multiple projects and adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Accurate and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
  • Must be able to travel (15%) to various places within the US in order to complete job requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR or SPHR certification
