HVAC and Plumbing Product Sales

Basic Purpose:  The Product Sales role plays a key role in the merchandising /sales engine. The Product Sales has many responsibilities specific to a particular brand/category. Approximately 60% of the time is spent growing category revenue / profit, maximizing margin, negotiate pricing, and evaluating new product opportunities. Approximately 40% of the time is spent formulating a marketing plan to promote / sell product.

The Product Sales role provides first-level resolution to questions and issues raised by the sales reps and managers, and works with them to identify and close vendor business opportunities.

Functional Responsibilities:

Direct Revenue Related Activities -The key responsibility of this position is to increase sales to of Vendors Product line through:

• Mange job quote pricing with factory (DAR)

• Mange quote to customer and complete submittal package

Indirect Revenue Related Activities- Sales can also be influenced by indirect sales activities. These activities are considered part of the standard requirements for this position.

• Monitor all communications from vendor and ensure product information and pricing is accurate and reflected company wide.

• Know key Vendor contacts and resources to help expedite product questions or solutions

• Establish relationships with all B2B sales managers

• Serve as main point of contact for sales representatives on a daily basis

• Assist in revenue impacting projects as needed

• Coordinate aspects of sales trainings and events

• Develop and Manage sales focused programs specific to building vendor product knowledge throughout the B2B Call Centers

• Reporting results and tracking success metrics

• Performs additional duties as assigned

• Develop a procedure for follow up with outstanding bids with customers and sales force

• Must get certified by manufacture in VRV design, technical, start up and commissioning

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A min. of 5+ years of product/account management experience, sales, merchandising and product purchasing skills

• HVAC/Plumbing Wholesale/Distribution Channel experience

• Sales or marketing experience specifically with Vendor solutions

• Must have previous work experience preparing training/marketing material for product line

• Solid negotiation and customer service skills

• Have the ability to develop marketing strategies have managed inventory control

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

• Advanced PC skills of Microsoft Office are required (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work independently and on tight deadlines and perform well under pressure

• Must be able to work well in teams

• Technical aptitude is a must

• Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
