IC Layout Design Engineer

Richardson, TX

Est. 6 month Contract, possible Permanent

VOLT is working with our client, a top manufacturer of RF Devices in Richardson, TX, for a 6-month position, that is likely to go permanent.  If you have experience working with design engineers to prepare IC layouts for tapeout on Silicon, GaAs, GaN wafers then this is the position for you!

Our client works with government contracts- candidates must hold US Person status.  

This is work from home for now but will be on-site pending Covid updates… so Must be local to Richardson, TX area.

Recent grads with internships and layout design encouraged to apply as well as experienced design engineers!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with design engineers to prepare IC layouts for tapeout on Silicon, GaAs, GaN, and other technologies.
• IC Layout Designer specializing in full custom layout, includes: Full Custom RF Analog , Analog, RFIC, Mixed signal, Digital, R&D and Microprocessor I.C. Design Methodologies.
• Responsible for floorplan, chip lay out, routing and verification. support/assist in tapeout and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years IC layout experience with background in SiGe, CMOS or GaAs, GaN for RFIC
• Experience with some or all of the following EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Keysight ADS
• Nice to have: Linux and Windows computer systems, Linux shell scripts, Skill, Perl, Python (for automating repetitive tasks)
