Job Description

Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately for an Image Scientist in Herndon VA

Must have a current Active Government Security Clearance

This is a 6 month contract

Description:

• Working closely with government staff to identify technical challenges and study plans to address technical gaps 
• Assist the Government in developing operational concepts (CONOPS), mission threads, and approaches to solving the most challenging remote sensing problems 
• Working as a liaison between the government, Harris, and other contractors in a fast-paced technical office 
• Work with subject matter experts and program management to define scope and requirements for work packages to include: 
o Modeling and Simulation 
o Studies and data analysis 
o Product definition, exploitation, and dissemination

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ year of relevant systems engineering experience, or equivalent • An active TS/SCI security clearance • 3-5 years of remote sensing technologies to including: o System Design o Ground Processing o Data Analytics o Algorithm Development o Modeling and Simulation

Desired Skills:

• Advanced degree in engineering, science, or related disciplines • Experience with advanced display and presentation technologies (e.g. Touchscreen appliances) • Ability to distill complicated technical concepts, briefs, and data outputs into succinct data products • Understanding of full spectrum remote sensing (UV through THz) and advanced remote sensing phenomenologies • Ability to operate in a Windows and Linux compute environments • AWS Cloud Computing • Ability to accommodate change through new tasking, and new tools • Desire to develop and apply creative solutions to a wide range of problems • Ability to quickly explain cutting-edge and complex technical concepts to non-technical audience • Excellent public speaking and advanced presentation skills • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, and modelling software • Organizing and leading programmatic and technical discussions with government and industry teams to initiate new program concepts and discuss program planning and execution approaches • A passion and pride in your work product and highest level of quality control

Year of Experience: 9 Years Minimum

Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
